Mary Wildfeuer
President
Mary is the Regional Coordinator for the Camphill Association of North America. For the previous two and a half years Mary had worked as the Coworker Admissions Coordinator for Heartbeet Lifesharing and Triform Camphill communities, respectively. Before that she lived and worked in Camphill Village Kimberton Hills with her family for over 8 years. Mary received a BA in Human Ecology at College of the Atlantic in Maine after growing up in Kimberton Hills and attending the Kimberton Waldorf School. She and her family currently live at Hawthorne Valley Farm where her husband, Todd, is the main vegetable grower. Mary likes to spend time outside and with her family. She is deeply committed to the Camphill impulse and has a special interest in helping bring clarity in social interactions.
Judith Jackson
Vice President
I spent my childhood on my family’s dairy farm in Southern Vermont. I attended Northfield School for Girls, Wellesley College and Columbia University, where I received an undergraduate degree in biology. Following college, I completed a two-year apprenticeship in horticulture at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. I spent most of my professional life in the field of science communication, serving as communication director for Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, near Chicago. Fermilab, a national laboratory whose mission is the exploration of the fundamental particles and forces of the universe, taught me a lot about using plain language to express complex concepts! In 2009, my daughter Annie, who has Down syndrome, moved to Heartbeet. In 2010, my husband Peter, a physicist, and I moved to Irasburg, Vermont, a few miles north of Heartbeet. I serve on the board of Irasburg’s Leach Public Library, the Northern Vermont Development Association, and the Irasburg Planning Commission.
Barry Lefkowitz

Barry Lefkowitz is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Huntington Road Advisors LLC, a real estate investment and advisory firm, and Co-Founder of HMC Real Estate Services LLC, an investment and management firm focused on value-add industrial and flex/office properties. He was a member of the Board of Directors of ShopOne Centers REIT Inc., a leading owner, operator and manager of high-quality grocery-anchored shopping centers from 2018 to 2022. In 2016, Mr. Lefkowitz served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of Brixmor Property Group Inc. (NYSE: BRX), owner of the nation’s largest wholly owned portfolio of grocery-anchored community and neighborhood shopping centers. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) from 1996 to 2014 where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s investor relations activities as well as strategic financial planning and forecasting, financial accounting and reporting, and capital markets activities. Additionally, Mr. Lefkowitz led the company’s property management and asset management operations beginning in 2004. He served as a Vice President at Mack-Cali Realty Corporation from 1994 to 1997. Prior to joining Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, Mr. Lefkowitz served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte LLP, specializing in real estate. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Marcianna Morse

Marcianna grew up in Montpelier, Vermont. Her childhood wove with many of the local Heartbeet community members, who have become dear friends and colleagues. She met Heartbeet & Camphill in July 2009 at age 19 and was deeply touched and inspired by the life and work she met. It was exactly what she had been searching for. She has found purpose, colleagueship, and boundless opportunities for growth – Gifts she carries deep gratitude for. She moved to Heartbeet as a long-term coworker in 2011. She has sought out opportunities to educate herself with the history of Camphill and what has carried the movement to the present – and is actively living with the question of what is needed to carry Camphill into the future. Marcianna has been on the path to Camphill Community membership and will be formally joining as a Camphill Community member when the world circumstances are such we can gather together safely.
Marcianna has been a part of and witness to the community’s growth since July 2009 and comes with a deep love and commitment to Heartbeet and all those who are a part of Heartbeet. She comes with a readiness to learn, an advocacy for meeting each person where they are. Marcianna has completed the five-year level one training in Spacial Dynamics – a study and exploration of the human being and relationship to space. She is currently working towards completing the Spacial Dynamics levels 2 & 3.
Marcianna spent many years learning house holding and co-house holding with Hannah. She met Dan, who moved to Heartbeet and married in 2015. Marcianna has lived in Karl Koenig House with her husband Dan and their children Linden, Asher and Laurel since February 2017. She is currently householding, supporting a third-year volunteer in stepping into householding, chairing the Core Group, part of the Long-Term Coworker Group and is the Heartbeet board secretary.
Roger Begelman

Roger retired as the compliance officer of Goldman Sachs Bank USA. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1993 as compliance counsel and became deputy director in 1996 and director in 2002. Roger was named managing director in 2006.
Prior to joining the firm, Roger worked as senior special counsel to the Market Surveillance Division of the New York Stock Exchange from 1988 to 1993. From 1982 to 1988, he was an assistant district attorney in the Bronx, New York, and also a special assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of New York. Roger serves as chair person of the Board of Directors of BronxWorks.
Roger earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont in 1978 and a JD from New York Law School in 1981. He and his wife, Fern, live in Larchmont, New York.
Josh Carpenter

Joshua G Carpenter PHD. I have been a
licensed psychologist for over 25 years. My practice concentrates on
Wilderness therapy, Family systems therapy and supporting veterans with PTSD.
I live in Craftsbury Common with my wife Annie Volmer. We have two daughters. One lives in Alaska, the other lives at Heartbeat. I have served on the H.B. board for many many years and enjoy supporting the community. My hobbies are focused on outdoor experiences with the exception of dry aging meats to produce charcuterie which I enjoy sharing with the Heartbeet community. As I ease into retirement, I look forward to spending more time on campus with the friends and householders.
Annie Jackson

Annie Jackson was born in October of 1981 in Portland, Oregon, and is going into her third year on the Heartbeet Board. Annie has lived at Heartbeet Lifesharing for the past eleven years and is an active member of the Felting Studio, Farm Crew and is a key member of the team supporting Community Lunch in downtown Hardwick. Annie is also a member of the Heartbeet Policy and Advocacy Group and is Chairperson of the Friends Group. Annie is also the longest standing employee at the Cellars at Jaspar Hill, a local award-winning cheesemaker.
Jerry Schwartz
Trustee
Jerry joined the Heartbeet Board in 2015. He is currently an at-large trustee of the Camphill Association of North America and investment advisor to six additional Camphill communities. His undergraduate and graduate degrees are in the field of philosophy. Jerry entered the investment world through Merrill Lynch in 1977 and founded his own financial planning and investment advisory practice, Arista Investment Advisors, Ltd. in 1984. He earned the CFP designation in 1988. Arista has offices in Albany, NY and Honolulu, HI, where Jerry lives. As part of his lifelong study of the world’s great spiritual traditions, Jerry teaches workshops in mediation, self-transformation, and the spiritual nature of money as the carrier of social and communal vitality.
Jon Gleicher
Trustee
Jon Gleicher leads the Game Franchise Analytics organization at Blizzard Entertainment, a premier online game developer based in Southern California; In this capacity Jon’s team supports product development publishing with strategic insights, machine learning, research, and reporting. Prior to his time at Blizzard Jon was a special education teacher in New York City and a Managing Director of Recruitment for Teach For America, the national teacher network, where he led recruitment in Michigan and the Southeast United States.
Jon was born and raised in New York City; He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor; He also holds a Masters degree in Childhood Education from the City University of New York and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Jon is the brother of Max Gleicher, a friend at Heartbeet, and is a passionate supporter of Heartbeet and the Camphill Movement. He lives in Orange County, California with his wife Helen and daughter Grace.
